Railway Preservation Society of Ireland - Whitehead
The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland are based at Whitehead. Each year they run several 'unique' steam trips on the main line railway networks which are open to the general public. If you are interested in steam or just a unique experience then it is well worth checking out their schedules. The society also holds an open day at the Whitehead terminus which is fascinating, this is where they have recreated a period railway platform and where they do all their work. If you like to see old steam engines and rolling stock then a visit is a must. For more information visit their website: . Click on image to visit our website.
